ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Line of Communication Bridge (LOC-B) Training Area at Camp Grafton is a specialized military training site designed to prepare National Guard, Active Army, and U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers for temporary bridge construction and deployment.
The 50-acre project included extensive earthwork, the consolidation of existing ponds into a 20-acre training lake, and the construction of five reinforced concrete abutment walls to accommodate multiple bridge configurations. The site also includes new restroom and storage facilities to support ongoing training operations.
As the only National Guard facility of its kind in the nation, the completed site provides a dedicated environment for service members to develop critical bridge-building skills. Gleason Construction was proud to serve as the general contractor for this unique project.
